Terms of use
Last updated 5 October 2026
In short
- Melo is free to use for personal listening.
- Every sound belongs to its creator and keeps its own licence. Melo only points to it and credits it.
- Players from YouTube, SoundCloud and Bandcamp follow those services’ own terms.
- Please don’t abuse the site or its upvotes.
About these terms
These terms apply to melo.today (“Melo”), built and run by Bhavarth Bhati, an AI-first builder based in India. By using Melo you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
What Melo is
Melo is a free guide to sounds and music already published elsewhere on the internet. It doesn’t host audio: it streams openly licensed files from their original servers, or shows the official player of the service where a sound lives, and always credits the creator and links back to the source. Melo isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by any of those services or creators.
Melo makes no money from the sounds or music on it. There are no ads, subscriptions, paid features, sponsors or affiliate links, and nothing is sold.
The sounds belong to their creators
- Each sound keeps its own licence, shown on its page. Melo’s listing is not permission to download, copy, remix or reuse it: check the licence on the original source first.
- Sounds played through YouTube, SoundCloud or Bandcamp players are subject to those services’ terms, for example the YouTube Terms of Service.
- If you own a sound and want it changed or removed, see Copyright & takedowns.
Melo’s own content
Melo’s design, Ambient Worlds visuals, text, logo and code belong to Bhavarth Bhati. You’re welcome to share links and screenshots of Melo. Please don’t copy or republish its design or visuals as your own.
Use it fairly
Please don’t:
- Try to manipulate upvotes, for example with scripts, bots or repeatedly clearing your browser to vote again.
- Scrape, overload or attack the site or its vote service, or try to get around its limits.
- Use Melo to break the law, or the terms of the services whose sounds it shows.
Melo may limit or block access for anyone who does.
No guarantees
Melo is provided free and “as is”. Sounds can disappear or stop playing when their original source changes them, and the site may change, pause or end at any time. Melo makes no promises about availability, accuracy of third-party information, or fitness for any particular purpose. Ambient Worlds use slow, gentle motion; if you’re sensitive to moving visuals, turn on reduced motion in your device settings or don’t use them.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Bhavarth Bhati isn’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or any loss arising from third-party sounds, players or websites linked from Melo. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India. If you live in another country, you keep any mandatory consumer protections of your own country.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Questions: hello@melo.today. Also see the privacy policy.
